Description

Inspired by the well-known gear cube from thingiverse, this is my interpretation in the form of a cute ghost.
The perfect fidget toy for Halloween. Not only one, but two variants.

This model is 100% printed and just needs a drop of superglue for the eyes.

How to assemble:

Take the connectors and press them into the ghost parts. I have made a tool for this, so you do not have to hurt your fingers (it is on the connectors/stem plate).

If you have trouble to find the right orientation:

There is this assembly button in Bambu Studio. Just press it and you can see the full assembly and explosion view of the model. Just do it with the Happy variant, because i just swapped the face out with the angry stl and it won't show properly

You can control the explosion with the bottom right slider.

Each part of the ghost body is unique, but only the small gears can get mixed up, what isn't even a big problem.

If you have problems with everything being to loose, please try the print profile “shorter connectors”. The middle part is 0.3mm shorter.

How to play:

The easiest way to spin it is to rotate the big bottom parts in opposite directions. If everything turned about 180° it looks like this.

It is very lose after few spins and you need to push back the parts so it can work again, but when I have in mind how complex and hard it is to make this...giving full 5 stars! 🔥🔥 Amazing job

assembly wasnt straight forward. adhesion issues with the large peices. gave up on it in the end. very cool design though.

same. the two large pieces on the initial print keep breaking off and going spaghettitastic. two failed prints. seems like those pieces should have been flipped

Lot of play and huge gaps. Doesn't really fit together as well as I'd hoped but the wife is happy.

It fell over just before it finished printing! Could do with some supports. Still works though. I found the tighter joints worked better.

I’m printing it right now with a brim. I hope it doesn’t rip over.

I needed to use the shorter supports and it MIGHT benefit from a marginally smaller central connecting shape to make it even tighter but really happy with the end product. Everyone keeps playing with it in my house!

This works great with the shorter connectors on my P1S! All it took was a little thinking to put it together but this is only, like, the 5th or 6th thing I've ever printed so I'm sure I'll get used to it. The wee tool to save your fingers is a great inclusion too. Thanks!
