Description

Overview

Give your Apple Airpods a home on your desk with a charging dock that combines form and function. I uniquely designed this dock to use an Apple Watch charger for a flush fit, an intuitive ejection button to retrieve your case, and non-slip feet to keep your dock planted.

This dock was designed with compatibility for the following items:

  • Apple AirPods Pro 2 (second generation)
  • Apple Watch Magnetic Charger (USB-C)

It's possible the the USB-A version of the Apple Watch Charger will fit.

And a shoutout to the great Scott Yu-Jan for his work inspiring me to jump into the world of 3D product design and printing.

Product Assembly

  1. Print the files (which are split into a body and ejection button)
  2. Slide your Apple Watch charger through the body of the dock
  3. Use an adhesive (such as hot glue or double-sided sticky tape) to secure the charger to the body of the dock
  4. Slide the Ejection Button into the body through the top of the dock
  5. Place your Airpods in the dock
  6. Enjoy!

I also recommend placing some silicone non-slip feet onto the bottom of the body to give it an extra solid feel when using it!

Thank you! I’m not sure these will fit the AirPods 3 as I haven’t tried, but if the dimensions are right, then maybe!

Ive printed 2 copies now in case it was an alignment issue, but with my airpods, the charger hole is just a couple mm shy of the sweet spot. I have the magnetic charger and it magnetises to the back of the airpods. When I have it in the dock, it doesnt magnetise and so it doesnt charge. Can you possibly raise it by like 3/4mm? THANKS!

Ahh, that's strange about the difference! Could you send me a DM with a photo (or video if possible) of the fit and the model of your AirPods (i.e., Are they the AirPods Pro Generation 2 or something different)?

This is super cool! Any chance you could also make one which fits the airpods 4? This would work so well on my desk :)

Thank you! I had no idea the AirPods 4 came out! I don’t own a pair, but if I’m able to find the dimensions online, I may be able to do that. :)

Other Issues:great design but the ejector is too large to fit in the holder.

Thank you for the feedback! I just reuploaded the print profile, so the ejection button should be the appropriate size now; that’s my bad! Could you please attempt to reprint that part to see if that solves your issue? The STL file should also be the appropriate size if helpful.
