Description

This is an easy to assemble fairy lamp. All the pieces are simply pushed into place and the front piece of the body can be twisted on and off for easy access to the internals. Just wire some fairy lights (or similar) through the back beam up to the fairy's body to light it up.

I have also added a hanging version that can be used with a small unwired light, e.g. an RC underwater LED or a magnetic control switch LED.

---

Filaments used:

---

I adjusted the prime tower for the wings because it didn’t stick on my first try. I also ended up needing more support for the smooth half of the ball, but that may have been due to my glow in the dark PLA.

Absolutely stunning. What filaments are those?

Thanks! The glow in the dark parts are Hello3D PLA in Luminous Blue. The colors on the wings are 3D Fuel Standard PLA+ in Electric Blue and Aquamarine. I used the blue color from a DO3D 8-pack of silk filaments for the outline. (I can't really tell it's silk in such a small quantity, but it's at least darker than the other blue.) The stand is Ziro Silky Silver PLA, which is one of those filaments I use for everything and keep reordering.

Came out wonderfully. Hung with fishing line to make it a night light.

I love the design but wanted to put in a different LED system since I had plenty of Wyze Night lights lying around. So I created my own base and wired ran wires while also extending the motion sensor thus creating a motion activated night light Navi. The LED boards are too long for Navi so I cut off 2 LEDs per board. The motion sensor and boards are extended from the wyze board via wires. The base was recreated to allow me to fit the circuit board making it battery based and still allow for USB-C charging.

Such a cool print. It's simple and pretty and was really easy to put together. I'm new to AMS and I have not figured out how to match infill colors in certain sections so I ended up printing it solid (It kept printing a dark color in the transparent area, idk how to change that yet). Overall, I really appreciate you sharing this file! Very clever design
