Description

Have you always wanted a very high quality audio streamer, but without having to spend exorbitant amounts of money? here it is! the heart of the project is VOLUMIO, a free, turnkey software that can be installed on Raspberry Pi (link below). Raspberry is a small, inexpensive “computer” to which a DAC board is connected (link below); to the analog outputs of the DAC will go our amplifier. finally, although VOLUMIO can be driven via browser or app, a touch display is always useful and convenient; Wimaxit produces a 7” touch screen natively interfaced to Raspberry (link below) once everything is assembled, all that's missing is the case! ;-)

The one I designed is loosely inspired by VOLUMIO MOTIVO (link below), it is very capacious, and underneath it is completely open, so as to leave more space, dissipation, and possibility to access the electronic components.

ASSEMBLY TIPS:
All the parts and the touchscreen fit together, but a few dots of hot glue are recommended; the grommets, preferably printed TPU, should also be glued to the case. I have included an exploded view of all components in the images.

Hai sempre desiderato uno streamer audio di altissima qualità, ma senza dover spendere cifre esorbitanti? eccolo qua! il cuore del progetto è VOLUMIO, un software gratuito e "chiavi in mano" installabile su Raspberry Pi (link sotto). Raspberry è un piccolo ed economico "computer" al quale viene collegata una scheda DAC (link sotto); alle uscite analogiche del DAC andrà collegato il nostro amplificatore. infine, sebbene VOLUMIO sia pilotabile via browser o da app, è sempre utile e comodo un display touch; Wimaxit produce uno schermo touch 7" interfacciabile nativamente a Raspberry (link sotto) una volta assemblato il tutto, manca solo il contenitore! ;-)

Quello che ho disegnato è liberamente ispirato a VOLUMIO MOTIVO (link sotto), è molto capiente, e sotto è completamente aperto, in modo da lasciare maggiore spazio, dissipazione, e possibilità di accedere alla componentistica elettronica.

CONSIGLI PER IL MONTAGGIO:
Tutti i pezzi ed il touchscreen si incastrano, ma è consigliabile l'utilizzo di qualche punto di colla a caldo; anche i gommini, da stampare preferibilmente in TPU, vanno incollati al contenitore. Nelle immagini ho incluso un esploso di tutti i componenti.
