Hello everyone! 🌟

It's been a while since I promised to upload the Groudon , but after many attempts and hard work, I finally made it! The model can be printed in place, with fully articulated arms and a flexible body. 🦖🔥

This printed out wonderfully! However, the lower body - mid body chain link seemed to have fused together during printing (picture 3). When attempting to remedy this issue, the chain link broke, so I’m attempting to superglue it back together. Otherwise, some of the joints are a bit stiff on my print, namely the elbows. The head is also stiff and doesn’t like to stay on the ball joint when repositioning it. Overall, this is a very nice print. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for the review. That chain link should be partially fuse, It's made on purpose to making It standing up, otherwise It would fall down beacuse It Is heavy and tall. For the head and elbows I don't know, I'm very Sorry. Which PLA did you use?

No worries, the tight joints are probably just due to my printer’s tolerance settings. Thanks for letting me know about the fused chain link. I probably just missed that part of the description. Even with the chain un-fused, I am able to reliably get the figure to stand up in a natural pose. I used Bambu Lab’s red, white, black, and grey PLA standard filament.

Reading the comments the merged pieces in the back are intentional but the leg pieces are also merged, and the head doesn't securely click on. I'd be happy to make some of those tweaks for you if you could share the file, as otherwise it looks great.

The leg pieces are not merged; it's actually a visualization issue. If you change the color scheme, you’ll notice they are on different layers, as can be seen from layers 34-38 (in the top-right dropdown menu, where you can view information about the print such as purge count and more). As for the head, it's designed not to move too much because I felt Groudon wouldn’t have much mobility in that area.

Thanks for the quick reply. I double checked and there definitely seems to be an issue at least how it's slicing on my end. Also, the head clicks on nice and secure when it is sideways, but doesn't seem to fully seat when it is in the correct position. Color changes on a joint seem likely to cause problems too. Trying to print the Kyogre now. My son loves the Groudon.
