Description

This 3D print is designed to transform the ambrogio L15 Deluxe robot lawnmower into a fun, customizable tank. The model is simple to assemble, with a scheduled pause for inserting hex nuts during printing. The profile has optional features like a flag and a Minion.

Needs:

  • 3x M5x12 pan slot screws (other lengths will work, M5x16 is the maximum).
  • 3x M5 hex nuts.
    • Optional: Glue.

Print guide:

important

The model is optimized for printing, with a scheduled pause at 1 hour and 8 minutes to insert the hex nuts. Once inserted, simply resume printing.

Optional:

The flag is optional and can be painted to your liking, but it’s not essential to the build. After printing, glue can be used to secure the flag in place.

For fun, I’ve added a Minion model with a flat underside to fit neatly. I sourced the model from “aplica 3D” , press “here" to see the original model. There are 4 Minions in total, to prevent potential color bleeding. Most of the material for the Minions is lost during purging, so feel free to add more if you'd like.

Assembly:

Assembly is straight forward. Take the two main parts (the tank turret/hull and the frame) and fasten them together using the 3 pan slot screws. Refer to the cross-section image below—red arrows indicate the nut, while blue arrows point to the screw.

To mount the model on the tank, simply press-fit the frame over the robot lawnmower’s control panel.

Optional: Glue the minion and/or flag in place.
