This model is a fun Halloween themed dust cover for the Panda Touch by BIGTREETECH. A length of filament is all that is required for the hinge to function.

The cover of this model consists of 6 colors. The colors can be combined to reduce it down to 4 colors to use with a single AMS. Or with little effort all 6 colors can be printed with a single AMS and without adding extra instructions to the gcode. The trick is to use the runout/empty slot detection as a pause for the printer. This will give you time to swap the filaments as needed. Below is a sequence of filament swapping that will work with the default profile I have added.

• Load filament in the AMS with following order.
  1. Black
  2. Orange
  3. Green
  4. White
• To start the print set the colors to the proper AMS slots listed below, then start the print.
  • Black - A1
  • Orange - A2
  • Green - A3
  • White - A4
  • Brown - A2
  • Purple - A3
• Immediately after the print has started, remove the white filament in slot 4. The AMS filaments should now be in this order.
  1. Black
  2. Orange
  3. Green
  4. Empty
• 1st pause, slot 4. Load/empty AMS to match the following order then press resume.
  1. Empty
  2. Brown
  3. Purple
  4. White
• 2nd pause, slot 1. Load/empty the AMS to match the following order then press resume.
  1. Black
  2. Orange
  3. Green
  4. Empty
• 3rd pause, slot 4. Load/empty the AMS to match the following order then press resume.
  1. Black
  2. Brown
  3. Purple
  4. White

• You are finished changing filaments, wait for the print to complete.

   

  It seems like a lot but there is really only 4 moments that you will have to intervene with the print in the first 10 - 20 minutes. If you have any questions feel free to send me a message.
