Description

QuBe Lamp is a cubic LED table lamp, measuring 10 cm per side, 3D printable in PLA. The design consists of a main cubic body, a press-fit lid on top, and a screw-in cylindrical core at the bottom. The core is designed to wrap around a 5V 1A LED strip, preferably COB type, after being covered with electrical tape.

The cylindrical core has holes to allow cable management, while the bottom of the cube has a groove for a cable clip, enabling the power cord to pass through. In the prototype, a USB power cable with a dimmable touch button was used along with a low-voltage 4000K COB LED strip. The LED strip was soldered to the cable with a small amount of solder to complete the assembly.

The prototype was printed using Silk Gold PLA for the base and lid, and Glow in the Dark PLA for the central part, allowing the lamp to glow in the dark even when turned off. The printing is easy and requires a 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, two walls, with 15% infill for the base and lid, 0% infill for the central body, and normal supports enabled.

QuBe Lamp combines functionality and aesthetics with a design that is easy to print and assemble, creating a glowing atmosphere both when in use and when off, thanks to the photoluminescent material.
