Description:
A small wood connector that ca be fitted without a router . It will fit in a 35mm hole made with a standard European style hinge forstner bit .
There are two springs that hold the button in place. They should be made out of PETG for elasticity. The springs need to be bonded there with a drop of Cyanoacrylate . If I find the time I will try a version that doesn't need the glue.
Usage:
Use the straight side to orient the connector in the hole, then use 4mm to 4.5mm countersink wood screws to fit the button and the main connector. Fit the button in the slot and push it until it clicks . That's all .
In case you need to use many of them on a large piece use the springs just on maximum of four pieces, the rest should be without them because the friction will get too high.
Good to know :
What I can say about the strength is that two people couldn't pull the boards apart .The holding power might not be fantastic but you can increase the number of connectors. It also depends greatly on your print settings and material they were printed but mostly on the way they are secured to the boards. Use at your own risk and judgement.
