Description

Hello There,

Just a simple Herb Grinder with a fitting for a 5mm x 3mm magnet.

The Magnet can be either pressed (depending on the material used and print quality) or glued.

The teeth should be strong enough to not break if not packed fully and twisted with too much force (didn't break for me yet).

Try to break up the herbs before putting them in the Grinder.

It should grind the Herbs to about a 2mm particle size.

(Should also work without the magnets but won't keep closed of course)

If you have any recommendations I'll be glad to hear them!

Have fun!

Edit:
I added 2 new print profiles, one with 5x2 magnets and one with 5x3 magnets, and tuned the print profile settings to print better and a bit stronger.

Excellent work 💪🏻 the only problem is that the grinder tips don't slide well (it's hard to rotate when empty, imagine with resin). I recommend lower and more pointed tips as in the photo. Kind regards.

Would it also work with 5x2mm magnets?

I haven't tried it yet. The closing force may be too weak if you use 5x2, as they are not "touching" directly. What you could try, though, is to print small 5x1 disks to put under the magnets. I could also make different variations of the Grinder for 5x4 and 5x2 magnets if that's preferable.

An update regarding 5x2 magnets would be fantastic, as I usually print directly from the app. That would be really great.

The print quality is excellent, the design is fantastic, but the teeth broke off the first time despite the print looking absolutely perfect, and I printed with PETG HF.

Hmm maybe the PETG HF was a little too strong, I used normal PETG because of its give when you try to bend it. I'm still working on a model with thicker teeth though. Thanks for the feedback!
