Description

My first try designing a magnetic knife holder.

I did my best at designing the holder to be compatible with the little neodium magnet that you can buy very cheap from sites like Temu, Alliexpress or other ones.

I uploaded 5 different files.

One is with the holder blank(Knife_MagneT_Holder_blank), it has no holes for the magnets and none for the hangers in the back, in case anyone wants to modify it however it likes.

One is just with the hanger holes and the other ones are made with 3 differrent magnet sizes(6x2 mm round magnets, 10x2mm round magnets and 20x5x2mm square magnets).

Printing/Assembly guide:

The “Knife_Magnetic_Holder_16x12x2” is the one I printed and I used 96 6x2 mm round magnets grouped by 6 in each section (as in photo below), but it will work with any magnet that doesn't exceed the dimensions 16x12x2 mm.

Small tip for inserting small magnets: group them for a single cell and add them like you're spreading butter with something metalic(I used a small utility knife) like I did down below

After inserting the magnets it should look like this:

After that, press the PAUSE BUTTON on your printer's screen and it will cover the magnets and keep printing until it's done.

After it's done, install it in the kitchen and use it as it's supposed to.

I hope you managed to print it well and without any problems. For any questions or ideas(like another hanging hole type or another magnet size), don't hesitate to comment, I'll do it in no time:)
