Berlin is a city full of iconic landmarks, a laid-back lifestyle, and rich culture.
Famous examples like the Brandenburg Gate, the TV Tower, or the Reichstag are known worldwide, but there are also symbols unique to Berlin.
One such symbol is the Ampelmann, the unique figure on Berlin’s pedestrian traffic lights, which has become a cult icon.
Inspired by this iconic symbol, I designed this model. It can be easily hung on or glued to the wall, reminding you of the great city of Berlin.
The model consists of three separate parts to reduce printing time. The figures of the walking (green) and standing (red) Ampelmännchen are printed separately in the desired color and later pressed or glued into the traffic light housing.
The traffic light housing has pre-made holes for easy hanging and is designed for multi-color printing, allowing the edges and text to be printed in different colors. The model is already color-prepared and was printed by me using PLA.
