Description

Robotic grabber hand perfect for a Halloween costume or cosplay. Uses rubber bands to retract the handle after pulling it. Attach two rubber bands to hooks inside the sleeve so that they intersect in the center where the handle fits between them and the center hub rests upon them. Use M3 bolts and lock nuts for attaching the claw connectors to the claw and center hub and to lock the pull handle to the center hub as well. There are long pins to attach the claws to the center plate and short pins to lock the the center plate to the sleeve.

Kids love it. I did remix the center plate to add a red glow in the dark “eye” with a uv light and switch mounted inside. painted the sections with dual color silk pla in the slicer. used m4 screws and hear set inserts to join the center plate to main body vs pegs to allow access to that compartment to change the battery.

Easy to print, but a bit small for adult hands, and my child struggled to hold it. The unclear instructions made assembly challenging - photos would have helped a lot. I swapped the rubber bands for springs, which work well. Rescaling it would improve the fit, and the supports were tough to remove. I will post more pictures later.

good solid print! we had to scale in studio so it fit well with my son's hand. the long pins were a bit messy to print, recommend making a third plate to build by object and to build with better supports. on them. overall pretty impressive.
