Replaces the original barrel spring with an upgraded TPU spring designed for more robust long-term use

Additional Upgrades

Printing Tips

  • Designed to print with the Standard 0.20mm profile from Bambu Labs
    • Included print profile uses 3 walls and 25% infill to make the solid parts more rigid
  • For best results run flow rate calibration and make sure the build plate is clean
  • TPU stringing can be reduced by increasing retraction length (e.g. 2-4mm)
    • Any leftover stringing can be removed with hot air

Does this improve performance or just durability? Thanks :)

Just durability I've been stress testing the default spring design in a variety of materials and so far PETG is the only one to really hold up to hundreds of tests using a powerful band but eventually still starts to shows wear. This TPU version should provide a much more durable long term solution especially when using strong bands. I'm working on a lightweight shuttle design that will provide a performance boost so stay tuned for that too 😀 edit: upgraded shuttle released as well, check it out here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/659342
