Description

This is a wall-mounted planter I designed for myself, and it requires no supports for printing! It's easy to install, and the bottom features a removable cup that allows you to drain excess water without needing to take the whole plant down.

I printed the top part using matte PLA for a sleek look, but regular PLA works just as well.

I scaled this one up to around 150% and it's been working great! I had some issues with the bottom bowl printing with no supports but I think it was caused by scaling up and not by the design. Everything else worked great and eventually I was able to get the bottom overhang done by printing really slow and adjusting some settings. Bambu A1 + Polyterra PLA Matte

I love the color you picked for this! Did the threads had any problems at this size? I've never printed a larger version of it myself. Feel free to upload your print profile, if your settings worked better on that scale! :) And thanks for the boost!

Thanks! The threads were not an issue, and it's able to screw together easily. The only issue was the bottom overhang of the bowl. If this attempt hadn't worked well enough, I would have tried supports or taking a swing at remixing it to a flat bottom in fusion. I think that with that overhang removed or "lessened" it would print easily with stock profiles. I might try again with Bambu filament because I think it would do better than polyterra. Here are photos of the bottom of the bowl I kept.
