This Fractal Vise combines intricate geometric design with practical functionality. Based on the concept of fractals, the vise provides an adjustable and self-centering clamping mechanism that tightens uniformly, making it perfect for holding objects of various shapes and sizes.
Originally designed by tomato18 on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4909196), this remixed vise includes easily printable, interlocking parts that require no supports. Its fractal-inspired design not only looks fascinating but also allows for smooth, even pressure distribution. Whether you're using it for crafting, assembly, this vise is both a functional tool and a conversation piece.
You can watch the assembly video here:

If you wish to print a larger version then there is a print profile which includes the extended main bed with the extended head screws.
In case you had already printed the standard length version, you can extend the length by 70mm by printing the standard extender print profile which includes an extender and the longer head screws.
I highly recommend using a lubricant or oil on the moving parts to reduce friction and to also superglue the clip that sips between the 2 big clamps to keep it from falling out as well as the turning handle.
Printed in:
PETG but also works with PLA or other filaments.
