This bin is used to neatly store magnets. It consists of a north and a south pole, which align the magnets between them.
It is a gridfinity bin measuring 1x2x5 and is stackable.
Instructions
A labelled and an unlabelled version of the bin is available.
- Print out the desired variant.
- For the labelled version:
- Determine the polarity of the magnets
- Insert the magnets as follows:
- On the side labelled with north pole, the south pole of the magnet to be inserted must be aligned in the direction of the labelling.
- On the side labelled with the south pole, the north pole of the magnet to be inserted must be aligned in the direction of the label.
- For the unlabeled version: Insert the magnets in the same direction of the polarity.
- Test which two of the four lids fit more tightly into the magnetic slots.
- Glue the lids onto the magnets.
Usage
- When you insert the magnets into the bin, aim for the centre of the bin. This way, the magnets will find their orientation on the way there.
- When the stack is full from pole to pole, attach the next magnets in the centre of this existing stack.
- Please note that if magnets are used on the gridfinity base plate or neighbouring bins, the magnets may interfere undesirably.
