Description

Changes in this V3 version:

  • Lowered Wiper by 1mm to increase longevity of wiper material
  • Increased clearance between wiper edge and build plate
  • Increased size of angled wiper supports
  • Increased material thickness where screws hold it in place
  • Replaced rounding on forward areas with 45 angled surface for better print quality
  • removed unneeded material at left side of chute

I got so tired of poop jumping out while the nozzle was being cleaned so I created this Poop retainer and added a section. of A1 Nozzle wiper to the tail end of the process.. no more wisps!

This screws into place using the existing screws either side of the purge chute.

Cut a 3x3 square of A1 Filament wiper (I suggest cutting the rounded end row off first so you have a nicely square part, you'll get 12 pieces from the linked part) https://store.bambulab.com/collections/spare-parts-for-a1-series/products/heatbed-nozzle-wiper-a1

ASA will give best result for use with all print temps. Alternatively the PETG profile does main part with PETG using PLA as support for a super clean interface, see the green image for how to remove the support (black part) from the place where the A1 Filament wiper.

Looks like something to try out. Though I do feel like the design might be a bit too weak. I combined this with another DIY silicone wiper mod. Hopefully this will solve all stray blobs and poops.

Nice, yeah, I didn't like the PTFE tube solution by Bambu. It's been a week now since I started using this combo and it's been 100% succesful so far :)

I cannot yet see any direct improvement. However, the wiping pad is still missing.
