Basic Spool puzzle

Fun to play with during short print runs and it will be fun to see if my brother can do it.

Here is how Xmas when with my brother, I gave him the horseshoe puzzle first and he did that one quick. then on to the Spool escape puzzle and it took him about 1.5 hours to complete. during this time there were some words said and I was told never bring that spool in the house again.
