This puzzle box is a challenging, precision-crafted piece that few can open in under 10 seconds. The box is composed of three interlocking pieces, each requiring a specific sliding movement to unlock, utilizing a differential mechanism for added complexity. The design includes three compartments, perfect for storing small items. When assembled, the box has a diameter of 25 cm, making it both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Each of the three pieces was 3D printed using a 0.12 mm layer height, ensuring smooth movement and a high-quality finish. The total print time for each piece was 12 hours and 9 minutes, consuming 192 grams of filament per piece. The design is compatible with AMS, allowing for multi-color printing and full customization. (You'll need to print it in a different orientation).
Future iterations may feature vibrant colors and symbols, such as the radioactive emblem, further enhancing the design’s uniqueness and appeal.
This puzzle box combines mechanical ingenuity with customizable elements, making it both an intriguing challenge and a visually striking creation.
