Description

Update1/31: added a new set of imperial setup bars with angles (1/8" thru 1/2", 1/16" difference in between, 22.5, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 degrees)

will try to add the metrics version with angles next time around.

Update: added a metrics set (3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 18 mm) as per requested

text added on only one side of the bar, and will need AMS to print with two colors. if you don't have an AMS, you can use the boolean function in bambu studio to remove the text part, and that will give you the text engraved onto the bars.

Summary

didn't really want the spend 50 bucks for the aluminum ones, so i decided to print my own that ultimately costed me 30 cents per bar. won't be as rigid as the aluminum ones for sure, but gets the job done with good enough accuracy.

i haven't finished printing all of them, but you got the gist. dimensions start with one eighth of an inch, with sixteenth inch increment, all the way to half an inch.

each bar is quarter inch thick, which is another reference point you can use in your shop.

20% infill should be fine. i used 60% hoping these things can have a bit more rigidity and last longer.

This is my original design back in 2020 ported over from Thingiverse as I recently jumped on the Bambu bandwagon https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4156257

Great design and product. Thanks for uploading the metric setup. For next revision perhaps add angles on the left edge?

Printed great, although I would not mind a metric set all the plywood etc I buy here is in MM . Any plans to create.

glad you liked the model. I don't do woodworking in metrics (although growing up in a county that uses metrics system, everything here in the US is imperial) that said, if you provide me a list of dimensions a typical metrics woodworker would need, I can easily modify my old model to the metrics system when I get a chance.

Thanks for that, these are pretty handy and you cant buy the woodpecker or Kreg ones here because of the metric / imperial issue. The most common plywood sheet thicknesses here in OZ are ; 3mm , 6mm, 9mm 12mm , 18mm Thats pretty much all i buy for the tablesaw and router table. thanks again, if you get the time that would be amazing.
