Description

Remixed for better printability:

I came across a filament, which I had issues to print this stand with. Particularly I experienced lifting overhangs, which caused the nozzle to crash into them and break the columns.

I was lazy to calibrate the filament properly and instead I changed the radius of the overhangs, so that it is easier to print and less likely to cause issues for everyone.

In the pictures you see also the V2 version (pink) - you can compare and see the change in the arches. The last photo is the complete evolution V1 (gray), V2 (pink) and V3 (red).

The stand was originally made for Harry Potter Funko Pop mini figures from Kinder Joy surprise eggs. These are the same height as Funko Pop keychains and Advent Calendar figures. It is also nice for Disney Doorables figures. However, in its original size the display is too small for brick figures - for these it needs to be scaled up a bit (only the height).

I use poster putty to hold the figures in place.

Print with 0,2 - 0,3 layer, 2-3 walls, no supports.

mine came out looking like a haunted castle so I took some heat and paint to it to try and give it a old, worn look. I like it :)

The model itself is satisfactory, but it has flaws; a version 4 would be necessary to correct these imperfections The photograph reveals that the lateral columns deviate slightly

I'm sorry you have issues printing the model. This happened to me too, with the older versions, when I had a wet or old filament. Never with a new one. I'd try to dry the filament, or change some settings. This issue is caused when the overhangs lift upwards and the nozzle crashes into them, breaking the column. Possibly a bit of shifting the temperature up or down could help, too. I'm not sure to be honest. I'll make a version with no overhangs at all, when I get to it.

Great print with no issues, other than this doesn't fit some of the mini pop figures which came in the Star Wars 2024 Advent Calendar by default, i.e. R2D2 with Antlers, because they are slightly wider than normal. So after I printed the initial stand, we had to opt to put the Bitty Pops in, on the right hand side of the picture. But then had a thought and put 2 of these, side by side in slicer, then merged them and then scaled up to make a 24 hole one which fits the slightly wider ones. 👌
