I must be missing something as these seem unusable. there is no space between the two plates to grab anything.

Put the piece between before you push the clip on. But it’s obvious you just want to down vote. I don’t think 1200 others get how it works but not you, or?

TBH I don’t really care And its actually not the rating, its you’re reasoning for the rating that I’m questioning. It’s a strange reason to down vote something because you don’t know how it works and try to put something in between the wedges after you clamp it together. It’s a bit like down voting a cube because it rolls bad. And to be honest I would not give it a "true" 5-star myself because the grip is not optimal. There is improvement there to be done
