Description

HexDish SignalBoost: Amplify Your Cell Signal Outdoors

The SignalBoost HexDish is a modular parabolic reflector designed to enhance cell signal reception in remote areas like forests, campgrounds, or anywhere with limited coverage. Composed of interlocking hexagonal panels, the HexDish allows you to customize the size and shape of your reflector to meet your specific needs. Whether you need a compact setup or a larger dish for maximum signal capture, this flexible design has you covered.

Thanks to its lightweight and portable construction, the HexDish is perfect for outdoor use. The parabolic shape amplifies weak signals, directing them towards your device. Mount the dish to a tree, pole, or ground using its adjustable support system, and easily fine-tune the angle with the secure rosette-style fastener, ensuring optimal signal capture.

The hexagonal panels snap together with simple clips, making it easy to assemble and disassemble for storage or transport. Plus, the reflective surface is created using aluminum foil for added efficiency. The modular nature of the HexDish lets you experiment with different configurations—whether you prefer an "oval" dish, or larger dimensions, the possibilities are endless.

How it works

The operation is quite simple; it works just like a satellite dish, but instead of concentrating TV signals, it focuses on amplifying phone signals. The dish acts as a Parabolic Reflector, so radio waves that hit the surface are redirected to the focal point, amplifying the signals.

Like a satellite dish, it needs to be precisely aimed at the repeater or signal source, which can take some time to perfect. As shown in the image, the focal point isn’t always directly in front of the dish; it can be slightly offset depending on the direction of the incoming radio waves. So, try different positions or tilt the entire dish using the adjustable attachment to find the perfect spot.

Since it’s not as precise as a satellite dish, it won’t work miracles, but it can concentrate radio waves enough to provide a cellphone connection. However, in dense woods or extremely remote areas, where radio signals may be completely absent, the dish won’t be effective, as there are nothing to concentrate.

Use Responsibly

This device is designed to boost signal in emergencies or to let your mom know you’ve arrived safely :). It’s not intended for all-day phone use or social media. If you’re at a campsite, take the time to enjoy the experience and disconnect from digital devices ;)

Customizable Modular Sizes

The modular design means you can create a dish of various sizes:

37 panels for the standard design shown in the images.

19, 13, or 7 panels for smaller configurations.

• You can even expand beyond 37 panels.

The flexibility of the HexDish also allows you to experiment with different shapes, letting you fine-tune the dish for your specific signal needs.

Did You Know?

Parabolic reflectors have been used for centuries to focus light and sound waves. This same principle helps boost radio and cell signals, making them a vital tool for remote communication.

Safety Information

Ensure all connections are secure and that the dish is firmly mounted to avoid accidents. Avoid setting up the dish in extreme weather conditions, as high winds could affect its stability.

Be careful in sunlight, as the aluminum foil is highly reflective. It can concentrate light in unintended spots, potentially causing an increase in temperature.
