I offer this reproduction of the 1966 Ford GT 40 MK II at 1/24 and 1/32 scale (with some modifications) It prints on a single plate and requires no additional parts (100% printed), no glue or screws everything fits together I have prepared four variations, with or without AMS (an assembly/plate)
Printing tips
Plate 1 “Basic 1-32” 04 nozzle with a layer height of 012mm
Plate 2 “Rapid Print 1-32” 04 nozzle with a layer height of 02mm
Plate 3 “GT-40 N°2 1-24” 04 nozzle with a layer height of 012mm
Plate 4 “Upgrade for 1-32” 02 nozzle (REQUIRED) with a layer height of 01mm
Supports are necessary tree supports work well
On each plate, you have the front and rear rims with their left and right tires, the front (the larger one) and rear wheel axles, and their wheel centers Everything fits together tightly and is not easily disassembled, make sure to fit everything together until it stops and in the right direction Once assembled, the car should roll freely
The rims, axles, and tires can be exchanged on the 1/32 scale so you can mix and match to your liking
These are long prints when using AMS but they are not complex as long as you respect the parameters proposed by Bambu in the slicer
Feel free to tell me in the comments what you think I am new to 3D printing and also new to CAD your feedback will help me improve (good or bad)
I will soon make a balloon-powered version A toy for young and old, happy 3D printing
History of the FORD GT-40 MK II N°2
During the 1966 endurance season, the GT40 proved to be finally reliable and its 7-liter engine made it very fast Ford arrived at Le Mans in force with 13 GT40s, including 8 MKIIs
The official Shelby American team alone entered three MKIIs The GT40s quickly set the pace of the race a devilish pace
The Ferraris could not keep up with the pace and the last car in the race retired at 2 am Three Ford MKIIs were then at the head of the race, which gave spectators the opportunity to witness the closest finish in the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans

Ford wanted the three GT40s to cross the finish line together The three cars therefore grouped together at the end of the race At that moment, it was number 1 (Ken Miles and Denny Hulme) that was in the lead, followed very closely by number 2 (Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon) and number 5 (Ronnie Bucknum and Dick Hutcherson)
However, it was car number 2 that crossed the finish line slightly ahead of the GT40 number 1 Several versions of this story exist and sources contradict each other on the finish of the race
In the first, Miles and Hulme believed they had won But the ACO (Automobile Club de l’Ouest, organizer of the race) recounted the distance covered and declared number 2 the winner, because it started further back on the starting grid Total difference between the top 2 cars 8 meters
