Description

An Ultra-Strong Carabiner Model, made by me. The original models by: Stag 3D, goyetus.

 

This carabiner is estimated to be able to carry a maximum capacity of 90-230lbs (40-104kg).

 

It is recommended that you print in Tough/Strong PLA for maximum results. See Warning Below.

Note: This Item has An Arrester bar installed, in the event of a catastrophic failure, it is NOT guaranteed that the bar will hold.

I was able to do down my zip line with this and it didn’t break! I am 155lbs. super strong. it did stretch and stay that way but it held.

Nice design but it cannot be opened up enough to put anything on it. Can clip something else onto it but that kind of defeats the purpose. Waiting for designer to fix the design so this can actually be useful.

how much weight do you think it could hold if printed in PC-CF

I’m not familiar with PC-CF. So I wouldn’t know.

PC-CF is a type of filament madenby polymaker and it has carnon fider and other materials in it.

Cannot open it enough to slip anything onto the carabiner.

Yes- we are aware of this issue and are planning on fixing it. You can also clip things onto it to serve as a link.

Other Issues:so this is a very strong carabiner, but the lock bar prevents it from opening far enough to truly be useful. There are other designs with in built spring mechanisms which are more effective and strong enough

looking forward to it! it really is super duper strong, I just have to find something else with a clipping mechanism to clip around it since it doesn't open far. I'll find a use for it. Oh also, I think it would print better if the lock bar was flush with the print bed, I got a nasty overhang
