This is a flashlight tool system that lets you connect almost anything to be used as a light shaper to a flashlight.
I have developed and used this system over the last 8+ years in lightpainting artwork and developed and modified it to a point where for me it is the perfect system.
There are other commercial solutions for this but the issue I have with all of them is that they cut off a huge part of the light cone of the flashlights. Those usually only let through the hotspot of the light cones and a good part of the brightness of flashlights is lost completely. After a lot of experimenting and testing this design puts the connection point very close to the flashlight head and has a diameter of 40cm that fits perfect for most pocket flashlights that are used in lightpainting art.
Although this is developed as a tool for lightpainting art this can also be used for several other applications. Essentially everywhere where you want to put anything in front of a flashlight you can use this system.
This set are the adapters that go on the flashlight and are the core to the whole system. I will release more and more tool caps that go into these adapters for different kind of applications.
The adapters are made for most of the usual flashlight head sizes. You just need to measure the diameter of the flashlight head and select the corresponding adapters. For some of them there are TPU versions that have a more angled hole to go around the flashlight head. The normal versions are meant to be press fittet on the flashlight and should stay there while the TPU ones are designed to be taken off and put on when needed. Keep in mind that flashlights can get hot so use a more temperature resistant material for non TPU versions like PETG.
All models are meant to be printed with the flashlight side on the build plate and only need minimal support for a small connection part at the top. Support is not essential but make the flange fit better and cleaner.
I provided a TPU print profile as an example on how to print these. I don't have a profile for normal material ones because I usually only use the TPU versions these days.
