Description

A simple snap on paint spout for 1 gallon containers. It makes pouring easy and mess free and keeps the paint out of the grooves of the container.

UPDATE 2/14/25: I have increased the lip size, and also split the lid so it can accommodate slightly different sized containers.

I suck at measuring, thought it would fit a valspar can. I just cut the back and it worked just fine. I did need to pour pretty slowly or the paint would run over the sides of the “pour lip”. I printed in PETG basic

Thank you for the feedback. I have tried it myself and its actually better than the original this way since it can accommodate the different sized containers easily. I have updated my file with a split and larger pour lip. Thanks.

Overall a solid print, only issue it did not fit the 1 Gallon of Kilz2 primer, I used. But I'm going to try v2

Works great with Pittsburgh brand from Menards. You have to go slow with full can though, if not some paint will leak off the side. could be fixed with a wider “pour area”.

It printed out nicely, no issues. However, just dropping this comment for future users. I tried it out on a Behr 3.43 liter plastic paint can (about a gallon). It doesn't fit. Not only the diameter, but the ring design would need to change. Thanks for the model anyway.

Really unfortunate they dont make all the containers universal. Have you tried the 2nd one I have uploaded? It fits my plastic Benjamin Moore containers, it may fit the Behr too.

Dang that sucks. Is it because the grooves on the top of the can are different? I figured all cans were the same, but I will model another.

Had to scale my print to about 102% so it snaps perfectly with the paint can we had. For extra caution and a bit more flexibility, I removed a length on the ring, opposite to the spout. May I suggest a taller spout too? Overall, it works!
