Description

SEVEN COLOR (AMS) PC - Doom Fridge "BFMagnet", one of the iconic games of 90s and the grandfather of FPS shooters.

I used:

First Batch of Colors:
Color #1: Bambu Lab PLA Basic (Black) (A1 Slot)

Color #2: Bambu Lab PLA Basic (Red) (A2 Slot)

Color #3: Bambu Lab PLA Basic (Blue) (A3 Slot)

Color #4: Bambu Lab PLA Basic (Green (A4 Slot)

Second Batch of Colors (After the pause, replace AMS slots):

Color #5: Bambu Lab PLA Matte (White) (A1 Slot)

Color #6: Bambu Lab PLA Glow (Orange) (A2 Slot)

Color #7: Bambu Lab PLA Matte (Yellow) (A3 Slot)

Warning: If you have an AMS, there is a pause in layer 25. If you don't have an AMS or two AMSs, just add a pause using Bambu Studio at each color change. There is only change per each color!

The model was algorithmically generated with some manual tweaks. (Contact if you like more models like this, perhaps your favourite retro game.) Optimized for 0.4mm nozzle, The model only requires 7 filament switches. Very minimal waste!

Second WARNING: You can get the magnets that are in Bill of Materials below to attach it to your fridge!

Third WARNING: Well, a recommendation for a stand, you can use my other model :) → https://makerworld.com/en/models/478583#profileId-389812 . This is highly recommended and looks super nice.

Smooth PEI Sheet is recommended for bed adhesion! (I think Textured PEI Sheet should work though!)

For all DOOM fans out there, enjoy!

And, yes me again, I'm super hype, I have a retro game room, I would love, and I mean, I would LOVE to have something like this but from the monkey island, could be the opening image with the title, or like the scene with the 3 pirates in the bar, etc I can send you some screenshot if you want

No worries at all, I also enjoy/love such prints. I like to display them around the house as it's a good memory of 80s/90s gaming. Please send me the screenshot and the colours that you have (if you have the dominant colours that works much better. What I mean is for instance, in Doom's intro the main colours were black and red). I may be able to create a new model with your specifications and post it in my account if thats okay. (I might be not able to print, and would be grateful if you can and share the pictures of the print!) :) Thanks!

These are some screenshots. Dont worry about the colors, I will buy them if I dont have them. I do have 2 ams, but I have 2 printers and I'm lazy to move them to one printer, the pause thing is pretty slick. Both screenshots are in EGA (16 colors), CGA does not look too right, (4 colors). The second screen may be with or without the commands on the top ((give, use open etc) THANKS!!!

The aspect ratio of these was a bit hard, but I created this one for now: https://makerworld.com/en/models/592617#profileId-514293 I think it requires 0.2mm nozzle 2.5 days of print time. However if you are good at slicing, perhaps you can print it faster. (A bit busy nowadays, so I may perhaps do the half of the screen in an another attempt.)

Question is, how do I print this, I put the first batch of colors, I match them when I hit print, but what should I do with the other colors?

I recommend the following: 1. Download the 3mf file and open it in the Bambu Studio 2. If you only have one AMS, physically place 4 colors to their associated slots as written in the description. 3. Once, print is clicked in the Bambu Studio, it will ask you the slots of each color. 4. Make sure the slots are selected according to slot number, for instance: select Black for A1 first, then select White for A1 later. 5. Printer will stop at Layer 25 automatically, then change colours physically as written in the description. 6. Then press continue on your printer. And enjoy your print!
