Description

This adapter system attaches to the edges of a SUNLU 250g 118x42mm spool enabling usage within a Bambu Lab AMS.

 

Features:

  • Reusable
  • SUNLU nameplate for easy identification when reusing

Instructions:

  • Measure your spool first to ensure it matches the specified dimensions
  • Print this model twice for a single spool
  • Affix one spool adapter to each side of the SUNLU spool
  • See attached photos

Considerations:

  • Print Material: Please print with a basic PLA or PETG to minimize any shrinkage.

Perfection!!! I just got the new model printed off, and now have my full set of 8, so I can run a full 4 color print with my AMS!!! Not only is it a perfect fit, it’s also one of the lowest gram count adapters for small rolls. Yours are often the lightest, while also not scrimping on quality and strength. Thanks for getting this set up for me, and also for the attribution in the model info. “Teamwork makes the dream work” 🤜🤛

I now have all 4 sets printed out and loaded up! If you want to utilize this pic also, you are more than welcome to. Hope that this one gets some great extra traffic for you!😊🙏 Already at 7 prints of it, just 1 day in!!! I’m thinking that this one will be pretty good! 🥰

was looking all over and decided for your solution as it was the quickest and easiest. Printing: tried first print but it started to string... made custom profile for bambulab PETG and reprinted. the results are just speechless... now I just have to try to print it with AMS and then I will report back if it went ok 😁

Thank you for this print! I have 10 of those mini Sunlu filament spools and I thought I was out if luck. Not only did these print fast but they used less than half the filament of other solutions!

did not hold reel tight when placed in the ams the reel would spin but but the sunlu reel that was placed in it would not. checked it with two different sunlu spools and the same thing happened

Thank you for the feedback. There may be some variance on the manufacturing side. A quick solution I've used on other adapters (so you don't need to waste the print) is to use a couple pieces of tape (from the wall of the spool to the wall of the adapter) to prevent the adapter from spinning around the spool. I hope this helps!

These are a great idea. I printed 2 sets and they do work. Howver after removing the spools and replacing them, the second spools spin inside theee. I used some electrical tape and that stops the spin but certainly hurts the look. I’d like to see these without the letters and just a simple wagon wheel for faster printing. Still, they work. Perhaps a very rough finish where the spool meets the holder would help.
