Description

DNA model which includes all the bases, backbone, and phosphates. Printed on separate plates and different colors (colors match one of the standard DNA analysis programs that I use). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNA

This can be used as a learning aid or nerdy display piece (which is what I use it for most of the time), but what I really printed it for was an escape room puzzle based on on deciphering the DNA code that I modeled. You had to recognize the bases and what sequence it was then translate (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Translation_(biology)) to get the 3 base amino acid conversion and spell a word. I have a printed amino acid translation model/toy as well for that (https://makerworld.com/en/models/570990#profileId-490947).

There's some cleanup post print, but the bambu printers are great for this type of detail.

Here is the stand that I used for holding/displaying the model:

Great model, however I'm regretting printing at 150%!

I LOVE the finished model, printed it all in white, then hand-colored each atom! Yay!!!

Instructions, install a white side of the bones, then with the colored parts both of them, spin them and adjust them in a spiral shape, then add the last white part accordingly :) Thank me later.
