• Reflector ⌀ 20cm (open), ~ 9cm (folded) : 1X (Fit on every 20 x 20+ cm print bed)
Printing Instructions:
Printing the foldable reflector is straightforward with these specific configurations:
• Layer height: 0.15 mm
• Infill: 100%
• Material: TPU (Shore 98A maximum or softer is recommended for optimal flexibility)
For increased rigidity in the foldable ring, a piece of PETG filament is required.
It is necessary to set a print pause or a filament change on the slicer at the end of the housing for the PETG filament.
Insert the PETG filament into the designated channel halfway through the print, trim to fit, and the print will automatically cover the PETG ring. This simple operation is quick and does not require special skills.
Tool Objective:
The objective is simple: provide photographers with a portable and efficient reflector that can easily be stored and transported. Designed to fold down to pocket size, this reflector is perfect for travel, outdoor shoots, or any situation where space is limited. Its sturdy material ensures durability and reliable performance. Printing the reflector with colored TPU can achieve an artistic effect and provide a colored reflection on the subject.
How does it fold?:
Here is a short video that shows you how to fold your reflector correctly without damaging it:
Maintenance Information:
Due to the reflector being only 0.35-0.40mm thick, handle it with care to avoid damage. While TPU is a flexible material, it’s essential to ensure the print is free from defects (It is highly recommended to dry properly the TPU filament before printing for optimal results) and that the PETG filament is correctly inserted to maintain the reflector’s structural integrity.
Did You Know?
The invention of the camera is credited to Joseph Nicéphore Niépce, who developed the first permanent photograph in 1826. Reflectors have since become essential tools in photography, helping to manipulate light, reduce shadows, and add highlights to subjects.
