Description

This cute little piglet is waiting to be placed in your home too!

It sits on its plate and therefore has a stable stand.

It is printed with support so that the little pink ears don't fall off.

such a waste of filament … don’t recommend

Hello, thank you for your comment. Question: What did you expect to happen with a multicolor print? To reduce the percentage of waste, you could print multiple small models at once or stick to printing in just one color. However, it should be clear before printing that color changes will occur! :)

Based on your level, it seems you’re relatively new to Bambulab. So first of all: Welcome to the community! The “monolith” in the background is called a “purge tower.” It’s not my invention and wasn’t intentionally added by me. It is used to ensure the model prints cleanly, preventing, for example, the black filament from smudging the pink filament in the model. I strongly recommend downloading Bambu Studio and experimenting with multicolor printing yourself. You’ll see that the “monolith” will appear for you as well, and you’ll also end up with a lot of waste. Both the small waste piles (often called “poops”) and the purge tower are normal in multicolor printing, and you’ll encounter these “issues” with any multicolor print – this applies to my model as much as it does to any other multicolor models. So, let me repeat the two options you have to reduce waste: 1. You could print the model multiple times on one plate – the total amount of waste remains the same. 2. You can choose the same color for all model parts and print it in a single color. What you’re complaining about here is completely normal for multicolor printing and is something you’ll encounter often. I can’t change that. However, you’re right – a lot of waste is generated, and I hope that future 3D printers will have better solutions for this. :)
