Printing Instructions:

Printing the foldable bowl is straightforward with these specific configurations:

• Layer height: 0.2 mm (0.15 mm recommended for detail)

• Infill: Minimum 30%

• Material: TPU, TPE or other flexible materials

• Seam position: Random

The model was tested in TPU Shore 98A, can be scaled larger but since the walls will thicken, we recommend using a softer TPU like Shore 88-92A

Designed to collapse flat, this bowl is perfect for travel, camping, or everyday use where space is a premium. Its flexible material ensures durability and ease of use, making it a practical addition to your gear.

Design Inspiration:

The foldable mechanism of this bowl was inspired by the “Foldable lens hood 52mm” by @MaschinistRaumZeitPi. This innovative design concept allowed us to create a functional and space-saving solution for your travel needs.

Safety Information:

Please note that TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) is not suitable for food contact as it is not food-safe. If you intend to use this bowl for holding water or food, it is essential to use certified food-safe filaments like TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer). Ensure that the printing process is free from contamination by other plastics. However, we still advise against using 3D-printed bowls for food contact due to potential safety risks and contamination issues.
