Printing:
You need to print:
4x Wall
4x Gate
1x Roof
1x Base
1x Insert
Assembly:
- Align and Glue Walls: Begin by gluing four of the walls together. They are designed to notch into each other for straightforward alignment. For this, I recommend using Gorilla Glue two-part epoxy. Once assembled, the walls will be securely held in place by the elevated square on the base piece.
- Roof and Roof Insert: After printing the roof, print the roof insert. Attach the insert to the bottom of the roof, ensuring a snug fit onto the four wall pieces.
- Securing the Gates: To secure the gates, I used epoxy putty (Milliput). Glue can work aswell
Tips for Painting the Model
- Priming: Apply a black primer (Rust-Oleum Matte) to the entire model.
- Base Coat: Use a mid-tone grey as the base coat.
- Highlighting with Moss Green: Gradually apply brighter shades of moss green to various areas of the model. This can be done using an airbrush or a traditional brush.
- Detailing with Strong Tone Ink: Paint Army Painter's Strong Tone ink into corners and crevices to add depth. Use the ink to create mottled details on some open stone areas.
- Final Highlights: Finish by highlighting the outer edges with a very light green to enhance the model's details.
These steps will help you achieve a professional and polished look for your model, as demonstrated in the accompanying images.
