Description

Fully screwless print-in-place box

/ various sizes, with logo and label placement option /

 

This collection contains the following models:

  • 90x90x30 inner cavity box ( 100x100x40 outer dimension ) in three variation:
    • Plain top
    • Top with LOGO seat ( can accomodate insert with the following dimensions: 20x20x1,6-1,8mm with 3mm radius )
    • Top with smaller LOGO ( can accomodate insert with the following dimensions: 15x15x1,6-1,8mm with 3mm radius ), and LABEL seating ( can accomodate insert with the following dimensions: 40x10x1,6-1,8mm with 3mm radius )
  • 90x90x50 inner cavity box ( 100x100x60 outer dimension ) in three variation:
    • Plain top
    • Top with LOGO seat ( can accomodate insert with the following dimensions: 20x20x1,6-1,8mm with 3mm radius )
    • Top with smaller LOGO ( can accomodate insert with the following dimensions: 15x15x1,6-1,8mm with 3mm radius ), and LABEL seating ( can accomodate insert with the following dimensions: 40x10x1,6-1,8mm with 3mm radius )
  • For every size there is an insert that fits the bottom half of the box. Combine it with your parts ( as negative parts ) to create custom holders.

If you are printing the models on non-Bambulab printers please bare in mind the following:

  • Use support of the lower part of the lock, and if you want to print one of the boxes with logos, use support on the logo seatings as well
  • Prevent using any support on the hinges and on the hinge of the lock.
  • Increase infill at the hinge section and its close proximity.
  • Due to some exporting errors, the step files contain a small fragment body at the lower part of the hinge that needs to be manually deleted before printing. ( sorry about that:) )

If I open the STEP file in Bambu Studio I get a filled in bottom section - this is the case on all of the 90x90x30 options

Open directly the 3mf file, or right click on the step file split to objects and delete the inner part I would recommend you to open the 3mf because I placed multiple support modifier and blocker.

Okay thank you - suggest maybe removing the STEP files if they're not to be used and labelling the 3MF as including all variants - as it isn't clear that it included all variants

Dear Vader AG, Thanks for the feedback, but unfortunately makerworld insist on having the models uploaded separately in STP file. This is necessary because they whould like to make makerworld models accessible for those who use non-bambu printers. If you own a bambu printer I would suggest to always head to the 3MF file first. Recently it has been an even more strict rule system for 3MF files, so they should contain everything you might need:)

This is fantastic! Prints in place and everything works perfectly. The hinge and latch works faultless. Incredible. My mind can’t fathom how the printer can do this 🤯

super print, beautiful box. print-in-place of the hinges worked very well, even though I scaled the box smaller. support was also spot on and i only had to do a little rework on the closure. i suspect this was only necessary because of the scaling.

adhesion to the plate issue

To be honest I do not find fair rating the printprofile only two stars, due to the fact that plate adhesion problems caused by way different aspects. In order to handle adhesion problems I would do the following: - Make sure to use a clean plate ( 90% of the times adhesion problems caused by dirty plate ) - Make sure that the plate you are using is in good condition. The plates can wear off in time. - Bed leveling / Z-height not calibrated
