Description

I didn't like the existing framed HSW, so I designed a full-frame option in Fusion 360. It's a remix of the legendary Rosťa model, and everything is compatible. I personally printed it in Prusa ABS because I had a few unused spools lying around. But it should work fine with PLA, PETG, or ASA as well.

I organized and labeled every plate - don't forget that it's printed upside down. Therefore, the labels refer to where the pieces will be once finished and assembled.

Troubleshooting

Weak adhesion:

  • PLA: Remove the top glass and open the door. Switch off the auxiliary fan (the big one on the left side).
  • PETG: Make sure your filament is dry, use a 5mm brim with 0.05 gap.
  • ABS or ASA: Print with a 10mm brim, 0.05 gap, using Bambu liquid glue stick.

Stringing:

  • Make sure your filament is dry (weigh the spool, then dry in oven, reweigh - repeat until weight remains constant).
  • Slow down the speed for the outer wall.

The profile is too big for for A1 mini.

Worked great. A few strings on the first run. but I slowed down the speed a bit for the outer walls and the rest printed without issue. Printed on X1 Carbon w/PLA.

Had some stringing on this print. Nonmatter how dry I got the filament before hand. Probably my fault for not using better settings.

Hi, I would recommend running a temperature tower, as the stringing often indicates that the nozzle temperature is too high. Nevertheless, thank you for sharing your experience and photos! Míra

Hi, you have to print connector parts/ wall adapters, and then you can drill it to the wall. You can use those for example: https://makerworld.com/en/models/133125?from=search#profileId-144364 You might want to play a bit with adapter scaling, 99.5% - 100.5% (depends on the plastic you use) before you find the good fit so the adapter are easily to remove and still holds tightly. Good luck :)

Hi, what kind of problems? adhesion, dimensions are not accurate, spaghettification? It would be more beneficial to others to know your issues better, so they can avoid them. But if you have problems to print this profile, try the original Rosťa from printables. It have tens of thousands prints, so I would say its fairly reliable. unfortunately it lacks the full frame. Best, Míra

If you print with PLA, take away top glass and open door. Switch off the auxiliary fan (the big one at the left side). If you print from PETG, make sure your filament is dry, and use 5mm brim with 0.05 gap. If you print with ABS or ASA, print with 10mm brim, 0.05 gap with bambu liquid gluestick. Good luck!

Hi, what plastic do you print with? edit: If you print with PLA, take away top glass and open door. Switch off the auxiliary fan (the big one at the left side). If you print from PETG, make sure your filament is dry, and use 5mm brim with 0.05 gap. If you print with ABS or ASA, print with 10mm brim, 0.05 gap with bambu liquid gluestick. I tested all this on the genuine Bambu Textured PEI plate. Good luck!

Hi Mira, I like your approach. Printed mine in PETG-CF (what I had in hand) and they came out very good and seem to be strong. Would you be able to share your Fusion 360 files? I need my bottom row to be half height or less. Gunnar
