Description

I just got a few of the Ulanzi 40w little video lights and found them to have what they call mini bowens mount on the front. Its more like a micro bowens. as its ⅔ the size of the mini bowens that apature uses or any of the available mini bowens accessories. I was unable to find any documentation showing mini bowens sizing. This was a quick model just to get a snoot up and running.

I printed this in PLA+ but we'll see how long it lasts as the heatsink of the cob emitter is sitting in the center of the mount. I have not run any long run tests yet, only a fitment test. You might want to print this in a high-temp filament.

I am planning on future caps to act as gobos for the front to add some art to shots.

I recommend printing with tree supports touching build plate only.

You just blew my mind! I hadn't even considered printing bowens accessories for my lights!

Glad I could help! theres lots of great photo/video gear that you can print, especially in the grip and light department. It took a little trial and error getting the fit right for these since its a weird, undocumented/non standard bowens miniature size. But, if you were doing something for full size bowens it would be pretty simple, the bowens standard is like over 100 years old and very well documented. Just be careful if you're using them on higher powered continuous COB lights or at least use a high temp filament.

Yeah, I immediately started looking for bowen related prints and other camera gear. I had seen some other things but printing my own bowen accessories had never occurred to me. This could save me a ton of money!

I've had great success with gopro mounts, as well as hotshoe holders and even some baby pin stuff. I even did a full cage for a camera. If you haven't tried heat pressed inserts, you can get 1/4-20 inserts pretty cheaply and they hold really well for mounts.
