I designed this PC4-M10 Male-to-Male Coupler because I couldn't find anything like it anywhere. After searching multiple sites and coming up empty-handed, I decided to make my own. This coupler allows you to directly connect two PC4-M10 accessories (like Y-Splitters) without the need for additional fittings and tubing.
Variants:
- Standard Passthrough Coupler (Plate 1): Inner diameter supports passthrough of a standard 4mm PTFE/Bowden tube.
- Bambu PTFE Compatible Coupler (Plate 2): Inner diameter matches Bambu's PTFE tubing (2.5mm). Designed for situations where filament is passed through directly without PTFE tubes. Note: The ends are flat, so it's best used when a PTFE tube of 2.5mm inner diameter is pressed up against it to prevent filament snagging.
- Universal Filament Passthrough Coupler (Plate 3): Addresses the limitations of the second variant, supporting direct filament passthrough even in scenarios where the Bambu-compatible variant might struggle. Ensures smooth filament transition.
Key Features:
- Direct Coupling: Most PTFE accessories and connectors for 3D printing are female-threaded, meaning connecting them usually requires additional fittings and tubing. This male-to-male coupler allows you to connect two PC4-M10 accessories directly, simplifying your setup and eliminating the need for extra components.
- Smooth Filament Flow: Designed to minimize the risk of filament snagging or clogging.
Printing Details:
- High Resolution Printing: Prints in ~13 minutes at a resolution of 0.2mm to ensure correct precision, detail, and strength. This takes longer but is necessary for the quality of the part.
- Material: I used PLA for mine, but it's not strictly necessary. However, I have not tested other materials. Consumes less than 2g of filament!
- Support Removal: Easy-to-remove supports can be taken off using a pair of pliers at the end of the print.
This coupler simplifies your 3D printing setup, offering a direct and efficient way to connect your PC4-M10 accessories.
