Description

This is a mirrored and adapted version for LEFT Hand of the Ultimate Bambu Lab mouse. The Ultimate (RH) version includes all the improvements I have found or I have done for this mouse. Being quite an ergonomic design, intended for the right hand use, I assume the RH version is not optimal for those using mainly the left hand.

Here is where this model steps in. The main outer shell is mirrored, the lower shell is kept where it interferes with the PCB and mirrored the rest, the cover for PCB is kept but adapted to the mirrored outer shell.

Long story short - it fits properly. I did print it and assembled it exactly like the RH version (excellent instructions in the original Bambu Lab version).

The very last assembly step - the fully assembled base with the top shell requires a bit of pressure during the early displacement phase, then it slides easily in the right positions (too much to explain why - just press it a bit).

You need the 4 printed parts included in this model and the BL kit:

Once again - this version is designed for the LEFT HAND. If you need the right hand version please use the Ultimate models listed in the remix zone.

I've been trying to print the main shell and I keep having issues with the base supports and some snagging near the tip of the scroll wheel! The supports seem to stick to the model and they're hard to prize off and it leaves marks. I've tried lowering the print temp, which made a small improvement but not huge. Any suggestions on how I can solve the supports issue at the base and how to avoid the snagging? I'm pretty new to all this.

I can see only a picture attached to your comment but I know what you mean with the base supports issue. Almost always the supports have this issue, they leave marks, especially on complex surfaces. The only solution is to set less supports while the printing speeds have to be reduced too. Post printing, manual sanding with some fine sandpaper manages to clean the remaining support residuals and some grease applied on the sanded zone for a couple of hours will fully recover the material colour. Lower printing speed would solve probably the snagging near the tip too. What printer do you use?

I'm using the A1. it's my first 3D printer and it's been working really well so far, especially with the main housing sections where I used a regular white PLA. I put the bambu software on my PC so I'll have a play with the settings and see what happens. I really appreciate your help and speedy reply, thankyou! :)

If possible please give it another try with this model (.3mf data file per message) - less supports on the visible side, less speed.

Printed it in Bambu PLA-CF base and shell with a generic PLA Silk Copper inner cover. There was a layer shift on the inner cover and it broke during assembly in the front, but that's not an issue of the design (I printed a few prototypes and they were fine). Had to slightly extend the pusher on the left button to get a good clicky feeling on that, but now it looks and works great.

Prints fine, but the tolerances are off and the top cover split in several places when assembling. It holds together well enough, but could benefit from a bit of refinement on the clearances for assembly.
