Description

New and Improved version 2 can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/608323#profileId-531303

A cute dinosaur that dispenses your tape!

I made two version. One with spikes on its back and one without. Both designs have print profiles for either printing them with an AMS in multiple colors or just in a single color.

It holds a standard Tesa size tape roll with an inner diameter of 26mm. If people need other sizes, let me know!

NEW! I added a second slightly larger version that should fit a roll of scotch brand tape.

After printing just remove the supports and insert some tape.

Hello Philip, The overall size is now correct… however, the central hub is: • about 2mm too large, • the hub walls could be 1mm thicker • and the hub should be 2mm taller see attached image…

Super sorry for that! I unfortunately didn't have a scotch tape at hand to properly test the fit (they are a bit hard to get here in Germany). I'll make tweaks to the hub and upload a fixed version this weekend.

Love this and it printed beautifully but it’s such a shame that the part that is supposed to cut the tape just doesn’t; not sharp enough. :-(

I would love it if you made a larger version of this that fit a roll of tape from one of those cheap dispensers that you can buy for wrapping presents. I did get an almost empty roll to fit but just barely, and it was definitely to wide.

I can definitely make a scaled version. is the inner dimension also different? if you have the inner diameter, the outer diameter of a full roll and the width, I can make an adjusted version :)

Flips over with just one press, not practical

Edit 4 Stars: have to remove a chunk of it's head. works best with washi tape

hey, you need to remove the support material on the head as well. if you break that off, the ridges for cutting the tape are in that channel :)

I would like to print the Tapeosaurus but the eye is printed in the air. It seems to me that either the eye on the top also has to stop one layer before the last one or the eye has to be extruded down to the first layer. It would also be great if you could print the spikes separately to save filament. The design seems to have already been applied to it, as there are spikes in the spikes for attaching and possibly gluing on. I would love to hear your thoughts.

This was my first multi color print ever! Note: Dollar tree tap refills do not work well in this. Or in general.. be better than me and buy better tape.

is your tape the size specified in the description or is it a different size?

Cat approved. The cutting teeth worked fine directly from the printer. Sharpening them with a file improved it considerably. Thanks for the design!
