This is a Lazy Susan I created as a challenge to myself. It does pretty well for an amateur mechanical design. It's a little louder than I would like, and it doesn't free spin, but it rotates pretty well.
I'm interested in feedback to improve this design. Should I add mounting holes so you can attach this to things? Should the top be solid across rather than a ring? And currently, it has a “right side up”, would that be useful to engineer out?
I know there are other Lazy Susan designs out there, but I wanted to give a try at a design of my own with moving parts.
Features:
Canonical Bearings to reduce noise.
Up to 16 Bearings (default 8).
Fully enclosed.
It should be resistant to spills with the top cover overlapping the joint
The casing fits tight enough to not casually fall apart, but loose enough to spin when interacted with.
