Setup and Installation
Since I did my build in PLA, after I had everything ready for final mounting, I removed the camera and gave it all a couple coats of UV-resistant clear coat. Not sure on how helpful it will be but time will tell. Perhaps consider printing in PETG or even better, ASA, for proper outdoor use.
After printing all the parts for a cabin & roof of your choice the setup is as simple as I could think to make it. You likely could figure it out without even looking at these pictures.
In order, the following pics are a general assembly of a cabin, then a roof/camera setup, and then the outside mounting.
For the Amazon and Dzees non solar cameras just drop them into position in their boxes and skip the next two photos.
The 1" pole and 4x4 post mount options are not shown here as I did not use them. I did test print them and they seem fine. The setup process should be apparent and the cabin is mounted on top of the mounting plates. Would recommend you pre-drill the holes in the plastic to match whatever screws you use.
