Description

This is my poop chute for the Bambu Labs X1 and P1 printers. This is an easy and simple design that does a few things.

  1. Eliminates the step of having to empty a poop bin removing the chance for it to overflow during a multi-color print.
  2. It makes for the perfect place to break off supports. Every little piece of plastic that enters the funnel ends up in the trash.

Gone are the days when you have to empty your poop collector and empty it in the trash. Gone are the days when you make a huge mess, breaking off supports. Everything goes where it needs to go, in the trash.

Instructions

  1. I print mostly PLA, so I recommend that you would like me to print this in a PETG. I used a transparent Bambu Petg, and it looks great.
  2. You will need 4-7 command strips. Place the command strips inside the brace, which will attach to your table.
  3. I used CA glue to glue the brace to the funnel.
  4. .2 layer height is fine
  5. I recommend outside brims.
  6. No supports necessary.

Note there are 2 chute options, a 2-way, and a 4-way. The 2 way allows you to bend the chute slightly, the 4 way allows you to change the direction of the bend. To do this you alternately need to use a 2 way then a 4 way, play around with your options to find what works best for you.

"I really like the open concept, but due to the heat in the room where I have the printer, it peels off. Is it possible to adapt it to use magnets?" thanks

Could you hot glue magnets on or use some high temp tape?
