Description

You'd be better off spending 30 minutes printing Fidget butterfly knife keychain to evaluate whether your fingers are too numb to make this fidget pistol.

It is highly recommended half the speed, increase the nozzle and bed temperature of the first layer.

Branches from Subcompact pistol to fidget keychains.

Basically downsized by 50% in slicer with some stl were updated specifically to do the job.

Use paperclip or 20awg to attach all parts.

Keep your hands busy with this adorable pistol all day long.

For Bambu users, printing profiles are available for production.

For other users, download SubCompactSimpleKeyChainGenericV1.3mf.

For raw stl, go to Subcompact pistol (except keychain specific parts**). All need scale down to 50%.

Layer height 0.1mm, 2walls, (1wall for slide lock spring).

keychain specific parts**

1-Barrel tube (SubcompactSimple_BarrelTubeV5_keychain_icz.stl)

2-Barrel lock adapter (SubcompactSimple_BarrelLockV5_keychain_icz)

3-SubcompactSimple_SlideLockSpringStrongv2_icz.stl

4-SubCompactSimple_BodyKeychain_4709.stl

5-Optional threaded barrel protector (SubcompactSimple_BarrelTubeThreadedProtect_Keychain_icz.stl)

6-Optional threaded barrel for suppressor (SubcompactSimple_BarrelTubeThreadedV5_KeyChain_icz.stl)

Build instruction video.

Resin friendly. Fidget subcompact print with resin. (video demo

Please download the resin specific recoil pin assembly stl

Slide cut is makable too. Thanks @disinterest did it.

Upgrade parts available. Just need to downsize 50% in slice and print.  0.1mm layer height for suppressor for good screw thread.

Slide option kit is here

Suppressor and barrel kit is here

Extended mag is here

I found a random spring from a pen and it seems too small. can I still make it work? also I was thinking we could find a printable spring or compliant mechanism! you'd be suprised how well printed pla springs work! anyway I also believe I may just order a bag of springs from aliexpress/temu/amazon/Walmart... but if I DO go around stealing springs from pens I would like to find a Ed printable tube I can use to replace the spring so the pen can still work hah . but if I can do that maybe we can just print a spring. I will try to print one. can you give me close dime signs of one of your best fitting springs please? I was trying to shrink down the sub compact model with working trigger and the trigger spring line width was always an issue so I gave up, it was a weird issue with the trigger, but I'd like to come back to this. my goal is making the 25 dollar moving parts pistols on aliexoress and then making a moving parts ar15 and ak47 one day. I have a small orca15 25% model that is close with fake barrel etc but we need small springs

nevermind I got it! I actually had to pull a plastic ring off , then I could slide the spring on and then pop the plastic part back on. I think I could maybe improve this by having a ring with a slit that the. slides into the slide holder hah very cool tho I'm suprised it all worked

Both end of the spring are denser. Pull them apart will be fine. I did try to print several PLA or PETG springs for mag but lose their strength and become useless after a few days.

No you don't need to pull the ring off. You can see how I make it from the video. https://youtu.be/j_UpmPmO_iQ?t=342

what has the print profile to do with how you build a part that does not make any sense?

wow what a well engineered thing . it scales down to this size and is still functional . I have a few glocks and a decade ago printed my first 3d PLA model of a 19 that took 6 weeks to sand down to fit on my flash forge dreamer . You have captured and managed to move over from a glock actual, enough of works to allow a fairly accurate barrel slope when reloading , printed in Bambu Matt black it looks like my other glock and feels like it .

All the fun and function of the full one, but now you can fit more than a few in your pockets for good luck. Just need to get creative with the springs, not hard to do.

these photos from your other larger model REALL help explain it better :D now lets ework on the fire control group so pressing the trigger actyually unlocks the slide which should lock bqack and need trigger pressed before it can be racked back again, but thats for a more realistic less fidgity model

This build was very unique. Awesome build over all. I feel like a mini James bond moment with the supressor attached. I have people asking me to build those. Great job on this project. I will be building more.

I made it at 0.1mm layer height.

So you mean i have to print the barrel in a higher layer height to fit?
