Description

Yep, just another tool box more my style! just a perfect all around fit.

Holds:

  • 4 hotends
  • 4 filament cutters
  • 2 silicon socks
  • both lube bottles
  • 2 scrappers
  • 2 nozzle clog tools
  • both of the hex tools
  • extra scrubber pads and various othe bits and bobs

https://www.printables.com/model/258431-rugged-box-parametric/files '

the box is from this link * i only made trays, added text to the lid, and edited the box to have floating trays. Also changed the measurements of the original box. Enjoy!! I advise not tipping it or adding thick foam to the top to keep everything in place. :)

Need either 6 M3x30 Screws, or 6 M3x35mm screws and 6 nylock nuts either or.

The inserts and bottom of the box printed well. But I'm having trouble printing the lid. Not sure really why, but it's failed 4 times over a couple of days. Have also tried just using a single filament but still no luck. Now I'm really keen to have a simple version of this without the lettering and logo. Scaling the original (thanks for linking to the source) is my next trick. Would love to know any scaling or which of the original sizes was adapted for this - just make sure I follow the steps correctly to match the bottom of the box.

Try them separate, also i clean my bed on my printer with dawn dish soap and hot water Every couple days. It appears that yours might have something causing it on that side alone.

Thank you for these suggestions. I had done exactly those things after the first fail (which is shown in the pic). I've also slowed down the first layer speed to about 40. Subsequent efforts have failed earlier than this when trying to put down the first very small edges of the lettering and logo.

Hmm Sorry for the issues this happens to be the first one that i have had reported. None the less i will keep an eye on it and look it over and see if there are some geometry issues that need addressed. Thank you!

Good to know. Slicing without AMS, it shows some random artifacts on the cover/top plate first layer. Will try it out. Thanks!

Very happy with this design. I'm waiting on M3 hardware to finish it. I was a little confused about where to put the hex keys at first, but I believe under the trays is the right place. Perhaps a spot on top would be nice, but that's mostly a preference thing. I also put the spare screws that came with my printer under the bins until I need them. I printed the outside of the case in silver with blue logo/lettering. The inside tray and clips I also printed in blue.
