Description

This week i have been designing a new suspended models.. i got my inspiration from rewatching the Ahsoka series all over again.. Thus came the Suspended Ghost.. a light freighter own by Hera in both Star Wars Rebels and Ahsoka..

As always i modelled everything using Tinkercad.. The suspended ship is split into 2 parts.. front and back.. and 3 pegs to hold them together.. i also added the LED strip channel as always.. you can either use the bambulab RBG LED strip or the white LED strip like i used here..

I designed the frame to look like the eye of sion from Ahsoka.. and it depict the scene when the transport ring bulldoze throught the ghost when they got the coordinates to rescue Thrawn..

I've printed the suspended ghost using Bambulab new PLA Galaxy filament (affiliate link).. and it looks good.. a bit dark but sparkly.. I didnt print this in multicolor cause i didnt have time as i was working on a different project..

As always i also prepped the 3mf files for multicolor prints as well.. and remember when printing suspended models.. set the wall generator to arachne from classic.. this will make the slicer print the strings.. and NO SUPPORTS..

I repainted to match my colors BUT LOVE THIS!! it's my first multi color print and only 3rd after getting the P1S. it wasted 3 times as much. but I tested the printer with no messing with like other printers. GREAT MODEL! this took 3 days, 3 colors, 3 times the waste. Printed for a present.

I don't understand where the lamp is setting up...is there a cave around it?

There is a channel that runs around the inside. You just slide an LED strip through it.

This is such an awesome print! I can't wait to try it, but I have a question: the LED strip is clearly more than you need, what other parts are you supposed to get in order to not have to buy another strip? I'd love to print your other models that also use these LED strips. Bambu gives add-on suggestions, but I'm not sure if those are the right parts!

you'll just need extra LED controller.. you can get them in amazon or aliexpress.. just make sure its the 3 pin controller not the 4 pin
