Good to Know

The print profile includes two different versions of the piranha blossom: one with dots and one with stars.
Additionally, the grass and the lower blossom part also comes in two versions: one using Breakaway Support Filament and another using manual supports. I recommend using the version with Breakaway Support.

The most amazing model in "Games of the 80" contest without a doubt. I'm in 3D printing from nearly 5 years, so 20-30 hours print on old-school printers is nothing special to me. But 82 hours on Bambu Lab printers?!? Man, are you giving Bambu users real lesson about our hobby! :D I wanna see likes to actual print ratio ;)

Thank you! :) Actually, the print profile includes two different versions of the piranha blossom: one with dots and one with stars. Additionally, the grass part also comes in two versions: one using Breakaway Support Filament and another using manual supports. I recommend using the version with Breakaway Support. So the print will be around 50-60h. :)

thanks form your support :) - I know it's still a lot of time - but I think it's worth. :) I printed already 14 of it. One way to reduce the print time is to use for the leafs, bottom, pot, gras and the blossom libs a 0.6 nozzle.

Amazing Model! Everything came out fitting perfectly together, and the self tap screws were very easy to assemble. I ended up putting a dock extender I got off amazon through it so I can hook it up to the TV.

Version: Dot Blossom - Breakaway Support Filament
Printed almost everything perfectly, except this leaf part 3. First i printed all the plate and the leaf in the upper right support came off and that specific part failed to complete. (other leaves were perfect). Then i decided to print the same leaf again by itself and the support fall off exactly on the same layer. Not sure what im doing wrong. But i believe the plate is vibrating too much causing the support and the leaf get loose from the plate.

What you could try is to change the value of the z-hop to a bigger value and maybe slow down the print speed. if it works please let me know.

so I’m having this unintended crazy wrinkle effect on the back of the large stem. not sure what’s causing it, but i dunno if it’s no support or print speed

hi the steam needs only support - on the build plate the rest is desigend to work without. the angles on the bottom part with steeper angles seams to be fine right ? what printer u are using ?

p1s. the support settings provided on the print only support the holes for alignment to the earth component. this is using Bambu studio.

I noticed you’re using the same printer that I often use. I’ve had success printing 40 stems without any issues, so I don’t think the problem lies with the model, especially since the angles are steep enough not to require supports. This is also evident from the fact that there are no issues further down where the angles are flatter. The model should be supported only on the build plate, just as specified in the print profile. One possible cause might be that the build chamber got too hot, affecting the cooling. (It’s summer, after all.) If I recall correctly, the is a Auto Colling in the filament settings. https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/software/bambu-studio/auto-cooling Have you tried printing without the printer cover? This might have caused the issue, or there could have been a filament quality problem at that spot.

great print just seams to have issues with the large leaf insert failing at around layer 450 any ideas on how to fix this? seam as if the print nozzle hits it I have cleaned the bed nozzle even changed to a new nozzle

I'm printing the version: The Screw Self Tapping Screw Version. I just need 2 packs of : BT3x10 SHCS Self Tapping Screw (20PCS) - AA200 and a pack of: M3x6x0.5 Carbon Steel Flat Washer (100PCS) - AC004 Is this correct? To assemble it, basically ( i just need to) put a washer on the screw and screw it in following the assembly guide?. Thanks

Looks Super Cool. yes exactly and to magnets 5x2mm. Each screw get a washer except the on to secure the head on steam. in theory instead of the magnets you could use a small peace of double sided tape to secure the removable dot (number 1 - behind ist access to the screw for secure the head)

Hi this seams to be m2.5 they are to thin. What u need to look for is m3 with 10mm length. For self tapping screw I recommend the bambu lab - with shipping there no more expansive than on Amazon :)

I have a pretty hard time with the lower head part because I am not able to remove the support on the base plate. It is coming out of my A1 Mini as it would be one single part welded together. I am printing with Bambulab PLA Basic in red. Tried to print without support, which did not work either. Tried 0.16 quality; 0,2 and also made some changes to the support settings. All with the same result, which leads to an unusable piece of garbage. So far, I never had trouble removing suppport. Any suggestions to the settings or what else I could try? Any suggestions or ideas that could help on that matter are very much appreciated. Thank you!

I have P1S with AMS so not sure of A1 mini. I used the support filament that came with the printer and it came out perfectly. Not sure if you have an AMS lite but there are only 4 filament changes in the print if you were to do it manually. I was really surprised how easily the support came off with the support filament.

Very interesting. Thanks for the hint. Unfortunately, I have no Support PLA around. I just ordered a spool at bambulab. Gosh, thats expensive for something to just throw-away. Kind of strange, I never needed such extra filament before. So, now I ll have to wait about a week till the parel arrives. Will keep you posted.

The grass is just BARELY too big for the A1 Mini. Everything else fits. Any chance on making a slight adjustment to the grass and make it fit on the A1 Mini?

hi, thanks to @Saymee1 he added a a1 mini version today. I may going to develop a smaller grassvariant :). but as everything is modular designed and plant work with the pot only you can print it now and add the grass part later.
