Description

Rivet for crock or crockoff

(you know, like a knock-off crock… crockoff… get it? 😆 sorry ill see my self out)

As a heads up:

The design is intentionally snug and made for use with PLA.

It isn't too tight to use, but it might feel a bit stiff initially and the post can be a little difficult to pop in. Both are intentional

the post is tight so it won't easily pop out, The sandwiching between the crock and the strap is tight, so over time, as you wear the crock, the PLA will wear down a bit and allow the fit to move freely and become perfect for your crock.

So, don't worry if it feels a bit tight at first it will loosen up and fit better as you wear them.

hi! glad it worked for you, just a heads up its meant to be tight in both distance it "sandwiches" the crock to the back strap and in the tolerances in pushing the rivet together clamping together and hard to push in. designed to be printing in PLA so after some movement it will ware down a bit and be a perfect fit for the shoe and it wont "pop" out easy

Worked good, but has no lock with rotating mechanic

Here's the corrected version of your sentence: I was concerned about that at first and I was waiting for my kids to fall out to find the weak point or wear. But it hasn't fallen out yet. If you run into the problem let me know and I can figure it out!

Replying to @PrinterInUse :
Actually, I had no problem with falling out, but with forgetting to put the heel-strap at the shoe before closing the rivet. Then I had to facepalm myself, open the rivet, put the heel-strap in, and re-close the rivet. After opening, the rivet is not having enough friction to be re-used without glueing. Having a possibility to rotate the parts for locking the rivet is the first idea that come to my mind for this solution. However, the rivet works, but is comparable to the non-reusable variant of the MissingLink...

First one I've been able to find out of multiple prints that actually works and doesn't break!

I appreciate the feedback, I agree with it. It was a delicate balance between hard to put together and easy to come apart. Took a while to get to this.
