Description

Medieval plate knight based on dummy 13 skeleton design, designed based on the modified version of Warhammer Heavy Knight

----Modeling from scratch and learning 3dmax, it took half a month to design and print, and will continue to improve in the future. If you have any suggestions for improvement, please discuss with me

--- Regarding the skeleton issue, the 3mf file has been updated---the installation position refers to the plate arrangement method, and the separate skeleton file is in the STL download button... It was put in the wrong place

------ Not suitable for the original dummy 13 skeleton, the skeleton has been adjusted to some extent due to the proportion problem

------ The manual is being made. I am usually busy with work and develop my hobbies on weekends.

I had a ton of fun making this. Decided to custom paint it too and make it look all battle worn and bloody haha. Took an old shirt and made a cape for it as well. It has inspired a bunch of my coworkers to print one out for themselves. Thanks for uploading this

I can't figure out how to connect these two. I've tried using the three-ball joint method, but the part that connects to the torso is rotated to the side and doesn't fit. (I'm using Google Translate because I've noticed you respond more to Chinese comments.)

I will update an installation video this weekend. Many friends have reported that this location needs explanation. Please check the installation video then.

I know this old, but did you figure it out? I spent a while trying to figure it out and assuming I was using the wrong piece. I ended up pressing it against my desk and the joint slid in the armor far enough for it to work.

so far i have printed half of the knight. generally the print came out really good. and everything fits well together. i had to reorient some of the pieces to print properly and also had to adjust the supports and brim for easier removal. Edit: i finished two prints. second one came out much better. the belt and the side skirts needs some more work to make them stay in place.

Hi, I have uploaded the print profile that I used. I used PETG for the skeleton and PLA for the armor. The side skirts on the belt are not well fitted, they always come loose (when using PLA, may be they will stress less if printed using PETG)

It's a really cool model, but unfortunately it's very difficult to put together. The tolerances are very off, it requires sanding and cutting on certain parts, and some parts like the legs pegs I had to size down to 98% just so I can fit them in because they kept breaking. Many parts broke and I had to re-print or glue some together.

I have had the same issues. I was debating if I wanted to print it at 150% just to have the model finished.

I haven't tried it yet, you can try it with a single joint and armor, such as calf armor and calf joint

I printed it in PLA and it works but I have to cut the ball joints a bit to make them fit properly.
